Winchester Racquets and Fitness is regarded as one of the premier sports clubs in the south. Long established in tennis and squash circles, the addition of comprehensive fitness facilities has made the club the number one destination for tennis, padel, squash, and fitness in Hampshire.
We have excellent playing facilities including 4 indoor courts, 4 artificial clay courts (2 floodlit), 5 artificial grass courts (4 floodlit) and 2 hard courts. There are 6 first class courts for squash and racketball including 2 competition glass back courts, as well as 3 floodlit padel tennis courts.
The club runs an extensive tennis and squash coaching programme catering for all ages and abilities. We also run a substantial internal and open competition calendar, as well as teams in national, regional and county leagues. Box leagues, ladders, club nights and internal tournaments provide members with lots of opportunities for competitive and social play.
Our fitness suite offers the most up to date CV and resistance equipment, and also contains a comprehensive selection of free weight equipment, catering for all training techniques. Your fitness goals will be achieved under the guidance of our experienced fitness team.
The mirrored exercise studio provides a large, bright environment to host our extensive range of group fitness classes. Our timetable includes world famous Les Mills classes such as BODYPUMP and BODYCOMBAT, as well as Indoor Cycling, Yoga, Pilates and many more- non members are also welcome!
Our large café bar offers unrivalled social facilities for our members. You can enjoy a drink or bite to eat in our bar or out on the terrace, where you can make the most of the weather whilst watching play on the courts. With Sky Sports and BT Sports available across 3 big screens, you’ll never miss a match.
The club runs regular social events throughout the year and these offer a great way of getting to know other members. Many of our sports events also incorporate social activities, giving members the chance to get to know others at the club.
The club also has 2 croquet lawns, a bridge section and onsite Physiotherapy Clinic, provided by Physiotherapy and Wellness.
